The 5 Biggest Marketing Mistakes Restaurant Owners Make – Part 1

14 Mar

Mistake #1: Not having an in-house list to market to…because they are too darn lazy or they just don’t understand the value of having their customers’ names.

When you have the names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdays and anniversaries of your best guests, you have proven marketing strategies at your finger tips to give you a cash surge anytime you need it!

A few of these marketing strategies are:

Surveys

Puzzle Mailers

Birthday Offers

Anniversary Offers

Holiday Mailers like; Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, 4th of July, etc.

The list of these types of marketing strategies is endless.  To explode sales, all you have to do is give them a reason to buy.  The old saying goes, “Everyone loves to buy but nobody wants to be sold.” So give them a reason!

By having an in-house list, you can now invite your guests back into your restaurant!  You no longer have to wait for them to come in.  Either you have a system in place that encourages your guests to come in and buy or you are at the mercy of them to come in and buy.

If you need to increase traffic or pay bills (especially those darn taxes), but you don’t have a way to reach out and touch the ones you love (sounds like an old commercial)…your existing guests, then you are S. O. L.

So start gathering names today!  Don’t give excuses….Empower yourself to increase your cash flow now!

Have a Great Marketing Day!
